Why Do You Call Me Lord?

Jesus said,

“But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’
and not do the things which I say?”
(Luke 6:46)

If you are not willing to obey Jesus in regard to your marriage,
then why do you call him “Lord”?

If you are not willing to obey Jesus in the way you raise your children,
then why do you call him “Lord”?

If you are not willing to obey Jesus with your daily family prayers,
then why do you call him “Lord”?

If you are not willing to obey Jesus with your forgiveness of others,
then why do you call him “Lord”?

If you are not willing to obey Jesus in the way you worship Him,
then why do you call him “Lord”?

If you are not willing to obey Jesus with your money,
then why do you call him “Lord”?

If you are not willing to obey Jesus with your time,
then why do you call him “Lord”?

Don’t bother calling Jesus “Lord”,
unless you are willing to obey Him
in every area of your life.
